so adam and i decided to go camping. we headed up one friday night to cunningham falls in thurmont, md. i do not have any fotos of our arrival. it was late, dark, and i was very tired. so we pitched the tent in the bright lights of our headlamps (and the jeep's headlights), set up the lantern, and went to bed.

The next day we started it off right with some a nice rustic breakfast.

Then we decided to go for a hike. Adam carried the backpack the whole time. He's so nice. We made it to the top of some rocks and had a very nice vista. Adam is brave and sat near the edge. I am not very brave at all and had to have several rocks between of me and edge. Adam takes much better pictures than me. Check out the vista.

Later that day we decided to go to the lake. It was crowded and these girls practically were right on top of us. is it mean that i'm posting this? probably but they were so close and i don't have any other pics of the lake.

later that night, we sat around the picnic table and played gin rummy. it was fun. i totally won by like 200 points. but adam had never played before so maybe i wont rub it in too much. then we had dinner and roasted marshamellos. adam made the fire and it was a decent size. not as big as any of our neighbors. but size isn't everything. it sure was warm!

Then on sunday we went for a hike thru the falls before leaving. it was very pretty. here are some pics of us by a babbling stream. after this we had a picnic, drove through Thurmont, and came home. and showered. and slept in a bed. the bed felt very nice.
